The piece of music I chose was Since I’ve Been Loving You- Led Zeppelin. I believe it has the main melody – at the beginning of the track, Jimmy Page begins with a terrific guitar solo. Although, throughout the track, drums come in. The texture of this song is polyphonic. Although, Robert Plant is the one singing. There are two layers- the guitar and drums. Throughout the song, the texture changes. It begins with guitar solo but later on, the drums come in. It goes back with only the guitar solo, it alternates. Jimmy Page rarely played on the beat, yet he played so loosely and consistently with the rhythm. While Robert Plant was singing, it had an echo effect on it that made it seemed like it went with the melody.
